EDITOR’S NOTE: Alright folks, we had the better idea of compiling everything into one post – so that it could be added to, and considered our first long handed piece on this rising “star” of The Left.
Earlier this week Daily Wire Editor in Chief Ben Shapiro offered to donate ten thousand dollars (10,000.00$) to New York Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign if she would debate the merits of socialism against capitalism. However, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez considers this to be “catcalling” and she “doesn’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions”. Isn’t that what requests typically are though? Unsolicited to do something or ask for something? Since when is offering somebody money to have a chat about their beliefs a sign of bad intention? She also went on to say “And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one.” How does offering to donate to a campaign equate to an “unsolicited request” from “men with bad intentions”? Its not like he was threatening her or making unwanted sexual advances to her.
Suffice to say that right-wing Twitter personalities weren’t happy with Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s claims. Free Beacon contributor Noah Pollak said that Mr. Shapiro was simply “treating her as an equal”.
This is your brain on identity politics. By challenging her to debate, @benshapiro was actually treating her as an equal. She knows she’d lose, and she needs to posture for her SJW fans, so she declares herself a victim of “catcalling.” Totally demented.
Shortly after that Candace Owens, who was previously turned down, offered to donate twenty thousand dollars (20,000.00$) to Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign.
And what exactly was your excuse for having turned down the debate with me?
Can’t wrap that one up in fake-feminism.
Townhall Editor, Katie Pavlich made an offer of her own as well, as did CRTV host, Allie Beth Stuckey:
If a man asking @Ocasio2018 to debate is catcalling, what was it when I asked? (And other women that I’m sure have also asked.) I would LOVE to discuss her claim that Jesus was a socialist. Or is that mean?
A day after Ms. Ocasio-Cortez tried to claim Mr. Shapiro was “sexually harassing” her, she was “catcalling” (her wording) the Democrat she beat in the race for New York’s 14th Congressional District, House Democrat Rep Joe Crowley. She was seen going into his offices in an attempt to shame him into debating with her. She complained that Representative Crowley (D-NY) was “avoiding a debate” and “wasn’t acknowledging” her.
My opponent seems to be avoiding a debate, and isn’t acknowledging me. It’s just the 2 of us.
So weekend I stopped by his office, said hello, & asked for a debate in person.

The Editor Chimes In
Here’s the conversation the the editor in chief of this blog, and the associated Facebook group had with a Democrat he knows personally.
The Dem is marked in “red” and the editor in chief of this page (henceforth “The Editor”).
The Editor believes, rightly so, that Mr. Shapiro was doing the same thing that countless video game streamers, and charitable Youtubers do to help raise awareness for issues. The Democrat believes, seriously but misguidedly, that this was all a stunt – regardless of how many others had jumped in to make the same (to varying degrees) kind of donation.
It’s not a “propoganda” issue – it’s a legitimate call for debate, and adding an incentive – to a normal human being – would make it that much more attractive. Believe me, if a Democrat offered to pay me twenty thousand dollars (in full, regardless of the outcome) to debate – as if the Democrats can debate – I would do it. People love money, and while she may be vomiting Socialist talking points – even she needs money.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Gets Fact Checked By The Washington Post
The Washington Post’s fact-checker has said that Ocasio-Cortez has been repeating several false claims as she’s made the rounds with the national media following her win over Representative Joe Crowley (D-NY). The fact-checker said one of her “eye-brow raising” claims is when she said (on 7 August 2018) “This upper middle class is probably more moderate but that upper middle class does not exist anymore in America”.
The Post noted that the middle class has shrunk a little bit, but the upper middle class has grown. In 1979, the upper middle class made up 12.9% of the population but in 2014, it grew to 29.4% according to a 2016 paper by the Urban Institute. She made a second claim in an interview with PBS on July 13th, which is that “everyone” in America is working two jobs – “Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs.” She also went on to say “Unemployment is low because people are working 60, 70, 80 hours a week and can barely feed their family.”
The Post, however, found that only about 5% of Americans work two jobs – according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics – this percentage has actually great decreased since the 2008 recession. It was also found that 6% of the people working two jobs worked up to 80 hours a week – according to the BLS the average amount of hours worked for private employees has been steady at under 35 hours.
The Post had also dismissed her claims about ICE being required to fill thirty-four thousand beds with illegal immigrant detainees every night, that “Medicare for all” would be cheaper than the current U.S. healthcare system, and her implication that buying an Obamacare health plan is akin to paying a tax.
Banning The Press To Create A “Safe Space” In Public For Possible Constituents
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s manager, Vigie Ramos Rio, claims the reason for not allowing the press into sessions held on Sunday and Wednesday, was that the press had “mobbed” Ms. Ocasio-Cortez last week following a meeting with healthcare activist Ady Barkan. The campaign made it clear there would be “no Q&A and no one-on-one [interviews].” Look friends, that already sounds pretty damned shady, adding to the infamy that’s going to keep her from being taken seriously. The communications director for the campaign, Corbin Trent, tells the Chronicle,
“We wanted to help create a space where community members felt comfortable and open to express themselves without the distraction of cameras and press. These were the first set of events where the press has been excluded, this is an outlier and will not be the norm. We’re still adjusting our logistics to fit Alexandria’s national profile.
It “will not be the norm”. Well she’s going to have to deal with the press when she actually makes it into high levels of government. So if she can’t handle reporters at a smaller event like this, how is she going to handle them at a level where the press practically lives with higher level members of the government?
As shown in this screenshot, many Twitter users weren’t too pleased with Ms. Ocasio-Cortez banning the press from her sessions.
The Queens Chronicle, reports that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Monday that stops on her “listening tour” through the district, like the one held in Corona are “intended for lively, compassionate discourse with a diversity of viewpoints” – which clearly doesn’t include the press. According to the Democratic nominee, she and dozens of others of residents in the area “talked about race, immigration, healthcare, disability rights, and housing”. They also go on to say that unless you were a part of the very specific crowd that was a part of the Sunday session, you wouldn’t know how she plans to deal with these issues when she’s sworn in.
Corbin Trent was asked if it was hypocritical Ocasio-Cortez to ban the media from in-district community meetings after weeks of interviews with prominent publications and rallying with candidates in other states, Trent said the campaign is committed to maintaining a positive relationship with area media outlets.
“After our primary victory, the campaign had what we saw as a unique and limited opportunity for Alexandria to use her elevated platform to speak about issues affecting our district to the national media, and to campaign for other progressive candidates around the country, by working to get other progressive candidates elected, Alexandria will be securing more national voting power for the people of Queens and the Bronx.”
The format of Sunday’s meeting saw residents bringing up issues before the Bronx progressive, who was seated in the front row. At some point, according to the social media feeds of some attendees, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez got up and began addressing the gathered residents of the area.
“We’ve been polite with racist people for far too long, there’s a cultural idea that talking about race is divisive … but I don’t think it’s divisive unless you’re a racist.”
Talking about race is divisive if you’re a racist? So what does that make The Left exactly? For claiming that blacks, Arabs, Hispanics (and literally everyone non-white) are better than white people (regardless of whether or not they’re from Europe).
“At yesterday’s town hall, someone asked how I, as just a human, am dealing with the hate, subconscious bias and criticism, I’ve been told my whole life I’m not up to snuff. Folks always doubt my worthiness until I get it done.”
No, people doubt your worthiness because you’re a socialist – there’s a difference. We, as a country have seen what socialism does (we look at Venezuela for reference), and we want no part of that. There’s nothing racist about it, or biased. It’s fact OK? We look at socialist governments and understand that’s not something that can work in a democratic republic, like the United States of America.
After the Sunday session, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez responded once the news about the press blackout had gained traction, on Friday, by saying that it was a “non-story”, and portraying those who attended the town hall as victims who weren’t safe in the presence of the media.
Additionally, with this town hall non-story: it was designed to protect + invite vulnerable populations to PUBLIC discourse: immigrants, victims of domestic abuse, and so on.
We indicated previously that the event would be closed to press. Future ones are open.
Dozens of people who work in the media were quick to chime about her lack of transparency with the press:
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez Visits Former Employer
Spoiler alert: They went out of business because of the policies she supports.
According to Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra on Twitter), Ms. Ocasio-Cortez visited a restaurant she used to work at in New York City on Monday, it’s final day in operation. The business was closing largely in part to the policies she supports. Her former employer, The Coffee Shop in Union Square, has shut down after twenty-eight (28) years of operation due to high rent, and an ever increasing minimum wage – a policy Ms. Ocasio-Cortez strongly supports.
The restaurant I used to work at is closing its doors.
I swung by today to say hi one last time, and kid around with friends like old times.
I’m a normal, working person who chose to run for office, because I believe we can have a better future.
You can do it too. We all can.
“The rents are very high and now the minimum wage is going up and we have a huge number of employees, the times have changed our industry.”
The Coffee Shop co-owner, Charles Milite told the nNew York Post in a July interview regarding the closing of the restaurant. The restaurant employed one hundred-fifty (150) workers who are now without a job, which didn’t stop Ms. Ocasio-Cortez from making the event all about her:
“I’m a normal, working person who chose to run for office, because I believe we can have a better future. You can do it too. We all can.”
Increasing the minimum wage is one of the issues that Ms. Ocasio-Cortez has been most vocal about, despite the fact that it DOES NOT WORK and hurts the economy.
Raising the Federal minimum wage to a living wage, and supporting a revitalized, 21st century labor movement are two essential starting points for working class Americans getting the dignified pay they deserve.
Healthcare, education, and housing are key cornerstones, too.
Michael Saltsman of the Employment Policies Institute told the Free Beacon that Leftist politicians are responsible for places like The Coffee Shop closing its doors.
“Ocasio-Cortez’s desired ‘living wage’ of $15 an hour has been a living hell for many small business owners in New York, who’ve been unable to offset the cost through higher prices,” Saltsman said. “It’s fine to mourn the impending closure of your former employer—it’s better to understand the misguided minimum-wage mandates that contributed to that closure.”
Jenny Grimberg On Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s Policies
POLICY #1: Healthcare should be a basic right, and the government should pay for it.
One of the cornerstones of the Democratic Party in the last few years (outside of making everything about race), has been that America should get with it’s global peers – universal healthcare! Democrats and Ms. Ocasio-Cortez believe that single-payer healthcare is better than anything that the free market system could come up with. They cite the enormous costs of domestic healthcare as proof.
Jenny Grimberg says:
Medicare arguably functions like a single-payer system, acting as a monopoly on health coverage for seniors. The result of Medicare’s low reimbursement policy is a decline in the quality of medicine, as there are simply not enough funds to pay for high-quality service and product. Seniors are held captive by Medicare, which not only dictates what services they can and cannot receive, but in some cases forbids them from using private insurance to pay for better-quality service.
She also goes on to say this:
Medicare has seen a stratospheric rise in costs and the burdens it places on taxpayers. It accounts for 15 percent of annual federal spending, and its growth rate is the fastest out of any of the programs paid for by the federal government. By 2023, total spending on Medicare is forecasted to reach over a trillion dollars, double the spending of only six years ago, in 2012. In addition, the trust fund for Medicare Part A is forecasted to completely run out by 2026. Seniors, and the American population in general, literally cannot afford to continue on with this experiment in socialized medicine. It is time to let the markets attempt to fix the problem.
POLICY #2: The federal government should provide everyone with high-quality employment that pays at least the minimum wage.
According to Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, a Federal Jobs Guarantee should be made to ensure that every American has a job that pays the minimum wage. We think this, like Communism, is good – great in fact – on PAPER and NOT IN EXECUTION! A lot of this systems – except capitalism, which fucking works people – are horrible in execution. Look at Venezuela, Cuba, China, N. Korea and anywhere else something other than capitalism has been employed. Those countries are, as President Trump put it so beautifully “shit holes”.
From Grimberg – who said approximately the same thing we just did.
The entirety of the 20th century experiment in many socialist countries, including the Soviet Union, was an uncharacteristic failure. The devastation of countries that adopted planned economies has, to this day, still persisted. The fall of the Berlin Wall was a blessing for East Germany, residents of which were three times poorer than their neighbors in West Germany. But even today, the former East Germany is still significantly poorer than former West Germany, showing that even after several decades have passed in a market economy, a region still cannot successfully shed its central planning roots. Ocasio-Cortez’s jobs guarantee has been tried, and historically has never succeeded, instead forcing the countries that adopt it into a state of low growth that appears to be permanent.
POLICY #3: Moving Beyond Capitalism
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez infamously stated in an interview with PBS about this:
She claims this is the reason America needs to move on from capitalism.
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is correct, capitalism hasn’t always existed, but what should terrify everybody is the last part of her statement “… It will not always exist in the world.” The original liberal idea of free markets has performed the closest thing to an economic miracle. Capitalism has been behind the decline of economic inequality and poverty, in the last twenty-five (25) years since the fall of many communist and socialist regimes.
The American dream is alive and well because of the economic freedoms we enjoy in this country, which include the freedom to pursue our passions without the government telling us we cannot.
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez does not understand that it is because of capitalism that we can enjoy the numerous economic freedoms we enjoy now, and that the day capitalism falls is going to be the start of a dark age for civilization. There are plenty of debates about how to use capitalism to better the world, but they all start with the understanding that capitalism has done well for society.
The primary win of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sets a dangerous precedent for politics and for society. Socialist policies have destroyed countries and people whenever they have been tried historically. We need to remember that our very way of life is a result of the success of capitalism, and we must elect a new generation of politicians that understand that. We cannot live under the regime Ocasio-Cortez and her hero Bernie Sanders have in mind for America.

Riley Dennis Decides To Chime In
And Get Everything Hilariously Wrong
Intersectional feminist and transgender activist, Riley Dennis, absolutely loves Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and rails against Daily Wire Editor-In-Chief, Ben Shapiro for allegedly believing he’s “entitled” to a debate with the socialist “Darling of The Left”. Mr. Shapiro is a nerdy Orthodox Jew who literally wrote the book which condemns our society for being oversexed.
Again, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez likened being asked to a discussion/debate over her views to sexist catcalling.
Riley’s reaction was par the course for Leftists, in that (s)he spewed lie after lie about Shapiro, who (s)he referred to as a “conservative asshole” before getting heated and ranting about (s)he doesn’t like conservatives asking (him)her to debate (his)her beliefs.
“Today we’re talking about debates, and whether or not you have the right to other people’s time,” Riley starts the video. “The reason we’re talking about this is because recently some conservative a**hole on the Internet demanded that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez debate him,”
(S)he also praised Ms. Ocasio-Cortez for slandering Mr. Shapiro as a sexist cat-caller – which (s)he claims “was honestly the perfect response”.
“He wasn’t even worth a real response. And in the time since then, he has proven her point by going off about how disrespected he’s been, and the whole not-letting-it-go-and-just-getting-angrier thing is really kind of the cat-caller stuff that Ocasio-Cortez was talking about in the first place. He clearly feels entitled to her time and attention and she’s refusing to give it to him, which I think sets a great example.”
Which is bullshit – as Mr. Shapiro politely puts it.
“Discussion and debate are not ‘bad intentions.’ Slandering someone as a sexist catcaller without reason or evidence does demonstrate cowardice and bad intent, however, but sure, go with ‘the Orthodox Jew who has never catcalled a woman in his life is ACKSHUALLY a sexist catcaller for asking for a discussion or debate.’ I’m sure your media sycophants will eat it up.”
Spoiler: They did eat up, and loved every bite.
Riley goes on:
“She’s a congressional candidate; she doesn’t have time to debate every conservative a**hole on the internet and she doesn’t need to. Her job isn’t to argue with trolls who almost definitely make bad-faith arguments … That conservative a**hole isn’t from her district and isn’t her opponent and she doesn’t owe him anything.”
Mr. Shapiro had this to say:
“Not to advise her political team, but, there are a lot of things you could have done here. You could have just said, ‘Nah, not interested,’ or, ‘You know what, you’re not running for office; I’m not going to debate someone who’s not running for office.'”
Riley keeps going on:
“It’s happened to be like a million times. People randomly tell me I have to debate them and it’s just like, ‘What planet are you living on?’ I’ve literally never done a public debate, what makes you think you’re so special that I’m going to care to debate you? You think just because you exist on the internet and disagree with me that I have to debate you? Nah, that’s not what I’m here for.”
However Riley did have two (as far as we know) debates with Blaire White – a conservative transgender Youtuber; the first debate, in our opinion, was a train wreck and the second one was soggy, meaning there was a lot of apologizing and gently bruised egos. However, (s)he claims that debating things on the internet isn’t what (s)he’s “here for”.
Finally – after sitting that agonizing dumpster fire, (s)he finishes up:
“You don’t owe anyone a debate, no matter how many times they tweet you, or write articles about you, or otherwise obsess over you and harass you, you don’t owe them s***. … If they’re going to such lengths to bully you into a debate, they’re probably going to be arguing in bad-faith, anyway. Denounce their ideas and ignore them.”
EDITOR’S NOTE: It must be said, that I support LBGT rights, and respect (mostly) the idea that the individual prefers he/she – the rest of these made up words and notions are touched on our post about gender.
EDITOR’S NOTE: It must also be pointed out that this post will be added to as new things come up about the socialist “Darling of The Left”.
